✎ Editorial Standards

ChessDada publishes original chess news, tournament reports, and analysis for a global audience of chess players and enthusiasts. This page describes the standards we follow when researching, writing, and publishing content.

Sourcing & Research

We rely primarily on these sources for chess news:

We cite 2–3 sources per article wherever possible, with visible attribution in the text.

Accuracy & Verification

Tournament scores, ratings, and standings are cross-checked against official pairings or published databases before publication. Player biographical facts (titles, birth years, national federations) are verified against FIDE's player database. When a claim cannot be verified from a primary source, we either omit it or clearly attribute it to the reporting outlet.

We do not fabricate quotes. Any dialogue presented in quotation marks is drawn from a published source and attributed in the article.

Corrections Policy

If we publish an error, we correct it. Readers who notice factual mistakes are encouraged to email us at prozentrechner1@gmail.com with the subject line “Correction”.

When we correct an article, we update the published piece with the accurate information and add a dated note explaining what was changed. Minor edits (typos, formatting) are made silently. Substantive corrections (facts, numbers, attributions) are disclosed.

Independence

ChessDada is an independent publication. We are not affiliated with FIDE, Chess.com, ChessBase, or any other chess organization. We do not accept payment for editorial coverage, and sponsored content (if ever published) would be clearly labeled as such.

Our platform is free to use and ad-free within Anthropic's Claude chat assistance. We do not currently run display advertising on our website. Future revenue models, if introduced, will not influence editorial decisions.

Authorship & Bylines

Most articles are written by the ChessDada Editorial team. Individual bylines will be added as our team grows. Our founder and editor is a Pakistan-based web developer and chess enthusiast who personally oversees all published content.

User-Generated Content

Chat messages exchanged between players during games are not editorial content. We do not endorse statements made by users in chat. We reserve the right to remove players who violate our community guidelines.

Copyright & Fair Use

We write original analysis and reporting. When we reference facts from other outlets, we do so under standard journalistic fair use with clear attribution and links to the source where possible. Game scores (moves) are public facts and not subject to copyright.

If you believe content on ChessDada infringes your copyright, please contact us at prozentrechner1@gmail.com.

Changes to These Standards
