♔ ChessDada — Terms of Service

Last updated: August 30, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the ChessDada website at chessdada.com, our Chrome Extension, and our Android application (together, the “Service”). ChessDada is operated by an independent developer based in Multan, Punjab, Pakistan. By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. The Service

ChessDada is a free online chess platform. It lets you play live multiplayer chess in themed rooms, play against a computer opponent, solve puzzles, watch games in progress, join tournaments, chat with other players, and read our chess news and guides. The Service is provided free of charge and is supported by advertising.

2. Eligibility and Age

The Service is open to players of all ages. If you are under 13, you may use ChessDada only with the involvement of a parent or guardian, and you should not create an account with an email address without their permission. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle information from younger players.

3. Accounts and Guest Play

4. Fair Play

ChessDada exists so that people can play real chess against real people. The following are not allowed in multiplayer games:

Our engine analysis feature and the “Play vs Computer” mode are single-player tools and are of course exempt from this section.

If we believe an account is breaking these rules, we may reset its rating, remove it from tournaments, restrict its access, or close it. We do our best to be fair, but these decisions are ours to make.

5. Chat and Community Conduct

Chat rooms, table chat, and the community board are shared spaces. Do not post content that is harassing, hateful, threatening, sexually explicit, or discriminatory; do not spam, advertise, or post links to malware or phishing sites; do not share other people's personal information; and do not impersonate ChessDada staff. We may remove content and restrict accounts that break these rules.

6. Ratings, Games, and Results

Elo ratings, game records, and tournament results are generated by our servers and are provided for enjoyment. Server restarts, network problems, or software faults can occasionally affect a game or a rating. We will correct problems where we reasonably can, but we do not guarantee that every rating or result is free of error, and ratings carry no monetary or official value. Games played in rooms marked as unrated do not affect your rating.

7. Availability

We aim to keep ChessDada online at all times, but the Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service, including rooms, features, or tournaments, at any time and without notice, including for maintenance.

8. Advertising

The Service is free and is funded by advertisements, including ads served by Google AdSense. We do not control the content of third-party advertisements and we do not endorse the products or services they promote. How advertising cookies work, and how to opt out, is explained in our Privacy Policy.

9. Intellectual Property

The ChessDada name, logo, site design, original articles, puzzles, and software are owned by ChessDada and are protected by copyright and trademark law. You may read and share our articles with clear attribution and a link back to the original page. You may not copy the site's code or republish our written content in bulk, whether by hand or by automated scraping, without written permission. Chess itself, its rules, historical games, and opening names are of course free for everyone.

10. User Content

You keep ownership of what you post in chat and on the community board. By posting, you give us permission to display, store, and moderate that content as part of running the Service. Do not post anything you do not have the right to share.

11. Third-Party Links and Services

The Service links to and relies on third parties, including Google (sign-in, analytics, advertising), Microsoft (sign-in), and external chess sources cited in our articles. We are not responsible for the content or practices of those third parties; their own terms and privacy policies apply.

12. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ChessDada is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, uninterrupted availability, or accuracy of content. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the Service, including lost games, lost ratings, or lost data. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited. Because the Service is free, no refund or compensation is available.

13. Termination

You may stop using ChessDada at any time and may request account deletion as described above. We may suspend or terminate access to any account that breaks these Terms, or where we are required to do so by law.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will reflect any change. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. This does not remove any protection you have under the mandatory consumer law of the country where you live.
